⚠️ CRITICAL LEGAL NOTICE
This written warranty is the complete agreement. No verbal statements, promises, or representations modify this warranty. Only written agreements signed by both parties are binding.
✅ What's Covered:
- Internal engine components rebuilt or replaced by Autobits (rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, pistons, valves, timing components, etc.).
- OEM-grade parts used during the rebuild process.
- Labour relating to covered warranty repairs performed by Autobits.
❌ What's NOT Covered:
- Turbochargers, injectors, fuel pumps, water pumps, ECUs, wiring, sensors
- Clutches, flywheels, gearboxes, DPFs, EGR valves – these are outside the engine rebuild scope.
- Boost pipes, vacuum pipes/connectors, coolant hoses, fuel system parts – the engine will be at full strength after rebuild; tired downstream components may not cope.
- ANY vehicle with ECU remap or software modifications (see below)
- Customer-supplied parts (even if we install them)
- Components we source at your request using your funds
- External labour or work done by third-party garages.
- Pre-existing issues.
- Any item not explicitly noted above as in scope or as "whats covered".
🚫 ECU REMAPPING POLICY - CRITICAL:
ANY ECU remapping or software modifications INSTANTLY VOID warranty.
- We scan ALL ECUs before vehicle handover
- If remap detected: must be returned to stock BEFORE collection OR warranty is void
- We can return ECU to stock (€150 charge) or you arrange it elsewhere
- NO vehicle leaves with active remap AND warranty coverage
- "I didn't know" is not an exception - warranty is void regardless
🛠️ Damage Not Covered:
- Issues caused by increased pressure from rebuilt engine (boost pipe failures, etc.).
- Overheating, turbo failure, fuel injector or pump failure.
- Oil starvation or oil pump failure (external to rebuilt components).
- Use of incorrect or contaminated fluids.
- User negligence, racing, or tuning-related issues.
- Failure to follow break-in procedures.
- Any remapping or software modification after rebuild.
⚠️ MANDATORY Warranty Conditions:
- Break-In (First 2,000km): DO NOT exceed 3,000 RPM or use full throttle. Gentle driving is CRITICAL.
- MANDATORY Service Intervals: Specific intervals will be stated in your Engine Handover Document:
- Typical: Before 500km and at 1,000km from collection
- Oil Spec: 5W-20, 5W-30, or 5W-40 fully synthetic (manufacturer-spec)
- Examples: VW 507.00 (VAG), Ford WSS-M2C917-A (Ford), etc.
- Your specific intervals and oil spec will be clearly stated at handover
- Missing ANY service VOIDS warranty immediately - NO exceptions
- Garage receipts and odometer photos required for ALL services
- Upload proof to Warranty Compliance Portal
- Service Reminders: We send automatic email reminders at 30 and 60 days if documentation not received
- Claims Process: Any suspected fault must be reported immediately through our Warranty Claim Portal. CRITICAL: Verbal complaints, WhatsApp messages, phone calls, or emails do NOT count as formal warranty claims. Only portal submissions are recognized.
- Warranty does not cover recovery or third-party labour/diagnostic costs.
📆 Warranty Period - BLACK AND WHITE:
Standard Warranty: 3 months OR 5,000 km from collection – whichever comes first.
Extended Warranty: 6 months OR 10,000 km from collection – whichever comes first (if purchased as add-on).
IMPORTANT: Warranty period runs continuously from collection date with NO exceptions. Once the end date or km limit is reached (whichever happens first), warranty coverage terminates immediately.
📞 How to Claim:
- Stop using the vehicle immediately if you suspect a fault.
- File claim through Warranty Claim Portal with full details and photos.
- Arrange transportation to Autobits premises (at your expense).
- We perform diagnostic testing (compression tests, leak-down tests, etc.).
- If the fault is covered by internal components: we'll repair it at no cost.
- If it's auxiliary components or excluded circumstances: we'll quote for the work required.
